Humming bird from too far, I'm sorry!

Humming around

For Europeans they are certainly a good reason to visit America: Humming birds. Like flittering jewels they look like from another word. Small and quick as they are, they don't seem to fear anything. So the problem is not getting close enough for a picture, it's their size and speed. During the flower reason one may do best waiting on a blossom, but I had the wrong season. And by the way: when I tryed to photograph them flying I took the shortest possible expositon time, 1/125 or 1/250. One only sees a shadow where the bird is supposed to be.
A visitor of this website, Bill Murphy, told me, this was the Ruby-Topaz Hummingbird.
