Bennetts or Red necked Wallaby

Again, an animal with different names on Australia mainland, where it's the Red necked Wallaby, and Tasmania, where it's the Bennetts Wallaby, always Macropus rufogriseus. Anyway, it's a cute and faily common one. One will find them in the wild, in sactuaries (sometimes they also will sell you the extra food a free roaming wallaby does not need) and in human households, too. Sometimes caring people give their best to raise the babys of marsupial mums who died in car accidents. But little Bennetts are difficult to raise. As I was informed, once something is wrong to them, they won't show any inconveniece. They simply die and nobody can do anything about it anymore. So this little one we met on a street in Cygnet is a big achievement.
