As I forgot my Australia travel guide in Germany, I wasn't even sure there are "must-see's" in Brisbane. So I looked at this impressive building and decided, this could only be the house of parliament. Now a visitor of this website, Tim Goodwin, wrote me this was a government building in former times, now it was the Treasury Casino. He should know, as his signature made sure he mailed me from the REAL parliament house...Thanks for putting me right!

Anyway I again enjoyed the mixture of victorian-looking buildings and glass-and-steel-architecture - this time under blue skies.
And: this was the first time I came close to kangaroos.
