After the combined shopping and curiousity therapy in Kuranda we took the option to go down by skyrail instead of using the bus. It was interesting to watch the forrest formation from an elevated point of view - in fact the only point of interest. From there one can see the many epiphytes and vines providing so many possiblities for insectes, vertebrates and what- and whoever enjoyes the place. The system rainforest means to spread the individuals of the species as wide as possible. If they just can met to mate, it'll be alright. And even though this was not my first well-preserved tropical rainforest, I never saw the natural diversity that clear. Apart from that, there were opportunities to leave the skyrail and have some walks. |
