Moken boats

Small boats

Moken boy rowing
Moken fisherboats are always around in the area. If one cannot see them for a while, one certainly will hear their noisy engines. We tryed to find a single boat still using sails, but failed. Not in this area. People must get deaf in their longtail boats, but still, something must be better about them.
Even though the longtail boats are very common, there are several different types of different size.
the dugout
The smalles boats are dugouts and as it seems, they still are used not only for kids, for some fishing, too.
